Unlucky for Some 16th June 2008Here it is, only thirty six or so hours late, the second part of the story started in Tuesday's episode. I hope you like it because the special effects were quite expensive! I'm sure that most of you expected the satellite to hit Hugh, am I right? But no one expected an anvil! The tardyness of this strip is down to two things. Firstly the size of the damn thing. I thought I was never going to get to the end of it! Just when I thought is was time to draw the anvil hitting Hugh I realised I needed another panel first. It would have been so much simpler if it hadbeen the damn satellite that hit him. The second reason was because for the last few days there has been an invisible midget standing on my shoulder with a baseball bat hitting me repeatedly as hard as he can in the mouth, cheek and ear. That's right, it's that unbearable trauma called toothache. I have an appointment to see a dentist on the 24th but in the meantime I can do nothing but suck down vast quantities* of paracetamol, ibuprofen and codeine in an attempt to sedate the evil bat-wielding midget.
*without exceeding the stated dose, because that would be daft
