Here's the second in this loosely linked three-parter
I've decided to review my update schedule for Odd-Fish. I don't think, for the time being at least, I'm up to going back to the old twice weekly update schedule. Frankly it was killing me.
Not the drawing part of although that did take up a substantial amount of my time with each strip taking approximately five hours to do. Ten hours a week is a lot to take out of anyone's time.
No it was simply the task of thinking up new jokes twice a week. I managed it for over a year, although the quality of the jokes has always been somewhat hit and miss, but it got to the point where I was doing nothing but turning over ideas in my head even when I should be working, driving or sleeping.
So I'm going to try a schedule of once every five days (or thereabouts) it's a little more than once a week but not quite twice. I think (as long as the ideas keep coming) that I should be able to sustain it well enough at that rate.
Of course, I can't guarantee that the jokes will be any better though!
