22nd March 2009
To avoid confusion to my American readers, we here in Britain celebrate Mothers Day in March where it's also known as Mothering Sunday and has its roots in Christian tradition.

It's now less than one week to go before my first ever convention as an exhibitor!
Preparations are very nearly complete now. I just have to find some way of carrying all the stuff I need to take down to Mile End in London on the Train next Saturday.
True to form, the British rail system is as crap as usual and due to works on the line on the day I'm traveling it will take me almost three hours to travel the 80 or so miles to London and I'll have to change from train to bus and back to train again along the way. No wonder no one wants to use the trains in this country. They're expensive, slow and unreliable.
Anyway, here's a list of the stuff I'll be taking to sell or give away:

  • Odd-Fish Book 1
  • Inexplicable Zebras colour minicomic
  • A5 flyers
  • Mini business cards
  • Mugs
  • Button badges (five designs sold singly and a value 5 pack)
  • Framed prints
  • Lovecraft's Tentacle Time clocks
  • Fridge magnets
  • Keyrings
  • Pens
  • Fuzzybugs of both Lovecraft & Howard
  • Yummy strawberry flavoured shimps
  • Myself.
I'm pretty certain that all of those things will be ready on the day, but things could change if I hit a snag with any of them.

One thing that I will definately have on sale at the THING is the first volume of collected Odd-Fish strips which you can buy online right now for £7.99
That's more than 70 pages of Odd-Fish including a bunch of new stuff for well under a tenner. It's a flamin' bargain.
