Thanksgiving 2008 27th November 2008Happy Thanksgiving to all the American Odd-Fish readers out there! After last year's Thanksgiving strip which almost no one outside of Britain understood, I decided to go for a more obvious gag this year. Hope you like it. One of the things I love to do is refer to things or events that appeared in previous strips like the radioactive waste in today’s strip. I like to think it gives a sense of continuity and the feeling of a world that persists even when the reader isn't present without having to do a continuous ‘long-form’ story and the reader feels rewarded for spotting references to earlier strips. Like with the subtle reference to the finale of Kidnapped in the strip entitled Smell Bad which people seemed to delight in spotting!You may have noticed that over there on the right I have added a new item of Odd-Fish merch, Manta Claus Christmas cards which are available from CafePress in packs of ten, twenty or sold singly.
